I know posting hasn't been consistent for a long time, but you know, I think I'm going to try again. And what a better way to start then the 31DC2014? Maybe I'll complete it this time? I don't know. But I'm going to try again. Here is day one, Red Nails.

The red polish is OPI The Color of Minnie
The "stitches" are acrylic paint.
I'm excited to see everyone's nails for this <3 Good luck to all out there.

31dc2013 Tribal Print Nails

I've decided that I'm going to finish the challenge. Even though I'm like half a year late, that's okay right? :P I still think they're fun and cute ideas and I'm determined to do every single one of them.

These nails are for Tribal Print Nails. I decided to do something a little different than normal Tribal Print, I wanted to do something from my culture and so I picked a piece of artwork and interpreted it to my nails. The nude color is OPI Glints of Glinda, and the black is acrylic paint. I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.

Inspired by this piece of pottery from New Mexico (which is where I'm from).

Hope everyone's having a good day :)

Recovery Nails

Hello Everybody!
So, I've been away for the past few months in a hospital recovering from Anorexia. It's also Eating Disorders Awareness Week, so I decided to paint my nails with little things I need to remember. I think these are important things everyone can remember about themselves, whether they're struggling with an Eating Disorder or not. Purple is the color for Eating Disorder Recovery, so
Thumb - Maybelline Color Show Iced Queen (You are worth more than a number)
Pointer Finger - Sephora by OPI What a Broad (You are gaining strength)
Middle Finger - Covergirl Lav-endure (Beauty isn't measured in pounds)
Ring Finger - Butter London Scoundrel (Destroy what destroys you)
Pinky - Sephora by OPI Just a Little Dangerous (Love your body)
And a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Lastly, I'd encourage you to visit http://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/ for more information on Eating Disorders. They're not about vanity or looks, and they're incredibly deadly. They rob people of lives, love, and happiness. And they promise satisfaction, but they only bring misery. If anyone is struggling with an Eating Disorder of any kind, I'd encourage you ask for help. It's not something to be ashamed of, and no one deserves such pain.

Christmas Nails

So after filing my nails down to a painfully short length to try to get rid of all the breaks and gluing tiny pieces of fake nails to make up a few corners, I had to do a Christmas Mani! It seriously felt wonderful to paint them again. There's still a few breaks but you can't see them terribly :)

Left hand:
Thumb - Essie Bikini So Teeny
Pointer finger - Maybelline Color Show Sapphire Siren
Middle finger - Orly On the List
Ring finger - OPI Alpine Snow and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Red My Lips
Pinky - Sinful Colors Rise & Shine

Christmas Nails
Right hand:
Thumb - OPI Can't Find My Czechbook
Pointer finger - OPI Glints of Glinda
Middle finger - Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lickety-Split Lime
Ring finger - Ulta High Roller
Pinky - Pure Ice No Means No

Topped with Seche Vite. Of course.

Flintstones Nails

Hey guys! Every post I make starts off with an apology. Sorry, sorry, sorry. I just really appreciate you are all still reading even though I take really really long breaks. My nails are super broken right now but I do have some nail art to show you from a while ago that I really really like! Here we go.

Everyone's done Flintstones nails, or used some aspect of their orange and black attire in a nail art design :) Here's my take on the cartoon characters.

Orange - Sephora by OPI Hi Def
Top coat - OPI Matte Top Coat
And the characters are made from acrylic paint!
